I'm still not clear about your book. By "every region" do you mean temperate, tropical, and subtropical? (My book does cover fruits from all over the world's temperate (and some subtropical) regions. That would be quite an extensive undertaking if you plan to cover all fruits from all these climate regions. Especially so, if you consider any fruit that is "edible." For my book, I limited myself to dessert fruits; as you know, I'm sure, many things can be made edible with the right amount of doctoring up in the kitchen.  If you want a good reference for pretty much anything edible, take a look at Sturtevant's edible plant book and Stephen Facciola's CORNUCOPIA II.

As I mentioned to you in my email last month, I have thoroughly updated the book that I wrote a decade or so entitled UNCOMMON FRUITS WORTHY OF ATTENTION. Besides adding new information and updating old information, I've also added some new fruits to the book as well as color photos. This book will be out soon, from Timber Press, under the title UNCOMMON FRUITS FOR EVERY GARDEN.

The book you describe seems like it might cover much of the same ground, unless you were planning to cover tropical fruits. The fruits in my book are all temperate zone hardy and edible out of hand (that is, "dessert fruits," as they say in Britain). Other pluses for most of these fruit plants is that they are pest resistant and ornamental, so are ideal for edible landscaping. In writing this book, I have drawn on my own experiences growing these fruits as well as published literature in many languages, the experiences of other growers, and my research with Cornell University and the U. S. Department of Agriculture.

Two good references for mostly tropical, and some subtropical, lesseer known fruits are Simmons' GROWING UNUSUAL FRUITS and Chandler's EVRGREEN ORCHARDS.

So please suggest me the names of fruits that should be included in the book.  Please write NAME, BOTANICAL NAME, AND AREA OF OCCURRENCE of each fruit.
