Re: Plant Identification


Sheri: The original night phlox, Zaluzianskya capensis, is a half-hardy
annual from South Africa with flowers that consist of five white petals
notched at the tip and when closed, both the petals and the outside of the
floral tube are a satiny maroon with just a hint of white showing where the
peals overlap. They are also very fragrant.Where did you get a cultivar
called 'Midnight Candy'? The night phlox is included in my book "The Evening
Garden" and I try to keep up with nocturnal flowers but that cultivar
