Re: Wooley Adelgid update

For those who noted my early spring notice on the absense of wooley adelgids on Canadian Hemlocks...

Not great news but I just happened to be with our arborist and asked for an update.  He said that contrary to my earlier hope that most had been killed by two severe winters...in sheltered areas such as south facing slopes and normally warmer local microclimates they have been finding populations of the adelgids.  The populations are much reduced but nonetheless...they are there.
