Re: Late Blight Outbreak

The latest information that I got this morning from a Cornell pathologist
was a confirmation that Late Blight was indeed found at a Home Depot in
Riverhead, NY and that it is suspected or confirmed on a potato farm In Wading
River, NY..both of which are on Long Island in Suffolk County. We will be
running a side bar this week to alert home gardeners to the problem. The
news department may also be running a story as there are still lots of
potato farmers on Long Island and so many farmers are growing tomatoes for farm
stands and direct sales later in the summer.
