Re: So long cabbage butterflies...for now


Very interesting, Andrew.

I report from the Illinois-Wisconson border, 85 miles northwest of Chicago 
(Zone 4b) that I don't have cabbage moths, either.  I planted a bed of 
cabbages intensively and have been waiting for signs of damage so I could 
apply Bt.  I harvested the first head today, and it was pristine, without 
any intervention.

Our weather has been extraordinarily wet and cold.  Today, the high was 59F 
and it drizzled all day.  This may become the year without summer in the 
record books here.
