Re: "Natural Checks" for Japanese Beetles?

In Japan, the beetles are hardly a problem, a native parasitic wasp keeps
their populations from exploding.  That wasp has been introduced here with
limited, but some success:

The beetle has been in the U.S. since at least 1912.  Where is is long
established, birds and other predators start to impart some control. The
pest has only been in this part of Wisconsin for four years.  It is still on
an upcycle but eventually nature will slow it down and make it more
manageable.
