Re: Great Garden Speakers

Way to go, Amy and welcome to any of the new 42 on this list! As a proud founding member, I'm in and the rest of you should be, too. There is great power in numbers, and I am certain that promoting garden speakers collectively will set a larger table for each one of us. That is also my attitude about the much-discussed topic of the dumbing-down of mainstream garden information. I don't care where I have to start with a person or a topic, if I can leave them knowing more than they did before, I've succeeded. If there's more gardeners asking questions, there's more readers for all of us. I hope I'm launching some, since I answer many of the same questions every year on radio and in my q/a columns from new gardeners. Once they conquer blossom-end rot on tomatoes or revive a sick camellia, they feel the power and we've got them for a lifetime!
