There are two things I find interesting about this. I have a Kindle and a
nook. I like them both. Each has features which make it unique. However, I
still can't enjoy a gardening book on either one because of no color screen.
In the article, the author keeps going on and on about the ipad, but when I
traveled to Buffalo, the ipad next to me was being used to watch downloaded
movies. I asked the woman using it if she liked it for books, and she said
no because she liked to read outside. Until they figure out a way to keep
the screen from blurring out outdoors, traditional garden books will still
be sold.
I use the kindle and nook mostly for novels, and I do like them for that
purpose. I don't like their wireless internet features. Too primitive. Apple
has them beat for now.
One more thing, if you're flying in an airplane, you can't get out your
electronic device until the plane is well up in the air. On short flights a
paper book would be better.
I'm thinking about writing a post to compare nook and Kindle. I do love my
iphone too, and I sometimes read books on it through Amazon or the B&N
reader. Amazon's is better because it syncs with the Kindle. B&N hasn't
quite figured that out.
Just my thoughts. I'm sure many of these bugs will be worked out in the near
future.
