Re: Japanese beetles - RESCUE Trap

Just some words of caution....this is a pheromone trap and while the
product information says 'Central attractant disperses pheromone in all
directions' this is a bit of a stretch. The pheromone will generally be carried by
the prevailing direction of the wind. So the down side of these traps is
that depending on the wind direction at any given time the trap can
actually draw the beetles onto your property or into your garden depending on
trap placement and wind direction. And not all the beetles are drawn directly
to the trap...so in some cases this trap may actually result in more
beetles on your property instead of less.

We stopped using this type of trap years ago.
