IGC East gathering

 
 
 
Dear Garden Writers,  Communicators, Photographers, and Bloggers: 
Please join us for a gathering of Mid-Atlantic area garden  communicators 
at the new IGC East show at National Harbor outside Washington,  DC, on 
Tuesday, August 5 from 11am-1pm. (Think of this as a  pre-GWA Pittsburgh 
warm-up.) IGC is the place to find story ideas, new products  that will be in garden 
centers in 2015 and hear great speakers and entertainment  -- be where the 
industry trends start.   
We will meet in the Press Room at 11:00am 
(Susan Cohen is speaking from  9-10:30, so many of you may wish to arrive 
earlier to  hear her talk.) 
We will do one round of  introductions then a round of sharing what 
projects we are working on, what  issues we are challenged with, any partnerships 
we are looking to form, job  opportunities, etc.  
(If you arrive late, please join  us with minimum fuss and introduce 
yourself when there is a break in the  conversation.) 
We plan to adjourn by 1:00pm to explore the exhibit hall on our own and 
then  head home and pack for GWA 2014! 
We recommend that you bring a bag  lunch, but you may also be able to buy 
food on-site. There will likely be  coffee/tea provided for us in the press 
room.
