Title: Re: [GWL] GWA Region III meeting corrected
Just a reminder that the deadline for early registration (and lowest fee) is Monday, June 23, for the Garden Writers of America Region III meeting in Columbus, Ohio. Members and non-members in any region, but especially those within driving distance of Columbus, are invited to attend.
The July 13 regional meeting will be held in conjunction with the Ohio Short Course, and those who participate will be able to attend the country's largest horticultural trade show, sessions or programs at no extra charge. The OFA, which puts on the Short Course, has waived its usual admission fee for us, and will issue multi-day passes to those who attend the meeting. The fee, if you register by Monday, is only $25. A one-day admission to the Short Course is valued at $185, so that's quite a savings!
The GWA daylong regional gathering will begin with brunch, followed by a brief meeting, then off to the trade show and programs.
The details are below. You can register at www.gwa.org. For more info about the short course, visit www.ofa.org.
Please contact me or Chris Kelleher (kellehc@yoder.com) if you have any questions. Hope to see you in Columbus!

Details for the Region III meeting in conjunction with the OFA's Short Course in July are nearly completed and the day in Columbus, Ohio, looks like it will be filled with great opportunities for garden writing professionals.
After brunch on July 13, participants will get a brief orientation about the OFA Short Course and what to expect. There will also be a brief Region III meeting. The group will then disperse to roam the trade show, one of the largest horticulture events in the United States. For information about the seminars, visit the OFA Web site: www.ofa.org/pdf/SC03program.
The OFA is eager to have GWA members attend the Short Course and has been very generous. The OFA has waived the one-day admission fee of $185, and will issue GWA members four-day passes at no charge, a value of $430. The OFA also has agreed to pick up the cost of the GWA meeting room. Garden writers who will be in the Columbus, Ohio, area July 13 to July 16, are welcome to attend. OFA's support has kept costs low for this regional meeting:

Non-members:
*$40 if registered by June 23
*$50 for those who register June 24 or later
