I think they like it to sound that way -- very authoritative. It actually
may be better than the USDA system, but the one we have is confusing enough.
You can pick up the Sunset National Garden Book at most book outlets -- a
good reference with simple language and lots of gardening ideas. I've seen
it at Half Price Books and other discounters and resellers. Amazon.com has
it for $24.50 new and half that used:
