It 's far from doom! So, it's important that garden writers don't join the media fray without accurate facts.
Various state and federal resources have jumped on the situation, and are working with nursery trade associations. Reliable info is at the Oak Mortality Task Force website, this based in California. There you 'll find -- brochures for the public and for growers; -- a flow sheet to help you determine if your plant(s) may be affected; -- training materials for Master Gardeners; -- and much more.
