Based on Kate's alert, I immediately called the Doubletree in Portland. I booked, with no problem, a room with two beds, (and did I want a balcony?) from Thursday, September 18th to Tuesday the 23rd. I could have booked the night of the 23rd as well, sans balcony. Didn't seem to be full.
