Doreen - I'd very much like to see a GWL gathering in Portland and  have 
enjoyedthe past 2 I've attended - timing seems fine and maybe at the  hotel's cafe 
- if their restaurant has no bar area ( though I'd be surprised if  it did 
not).

1.   Do you want a listserv gathering to put faces to names, as we usually  
do?  Last year, in Oklahoma City, the event was sparsely attended.   The 
gathering will be 5-6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, if we have  it.

2.  Suggestions on a place to gather?  The hotel has a  Tex-Mex restaurant 
and a casual cafe.  I'll find out if either has a bar  area.  Any other  ideas?
