You should have something at the bottom of the site that says 
Copyright...All Rights Reserved. Some Web sites have usage info, 
which tell us how or what can be used, what the attribution should 
be, how it can be used...some sites won't allow commercial use of 
their images or text. You can put the copyright symbol w/each image 
in the cutline or description.

What a lot of sites do is run the images small, low resolution so 
that they are pretty much worthless in publishing, PowerPoints, etc.

There are software programs that embed names, copyright and other 
info in the images.

Copyright is more than just saying it's copyrighted material, too. 
For the claim to hold up in court, you almost always need to have 
filed the copyright forms with the feds.
