Not too surprising, but pretty disgusting nonetheless. I've got an "I brake
for snakes" bumpersticker on my old truck, and I do. I am often appalled
when I'm driving on highways in certain states (Oklahoma, Michigan, and
Indiana quickly come to mind) at the hundreds of dead wild animals I see on
those roads. I recently drove through a great deal of wild lands
crisscrossing New Brunswick, Canada, and there they had wildlife fencing
along both sides of the freeway for hundreds of miles, and next to no dead
animals on the road.
