Re: gardenwriters Digest, Vol 113, Issue 35

Hi Jeff,

I try to remember to delete all the previous stuff, but sometimes I'm so
eager to jump in, I forget. Thanks for the reminder.

I saw my first wild moose when I got an all expenses paid trip to Alaska
from my Uncle Sam in 1966. We had to take a Greyhound bus from Fairbanks
to Delta Junction. A moose was napping in the middle of the highway and
the bus had to stop. The bus driver tried to honk it off the road. It
didn't move, so he actually went outside to shoo it away. Both us and the
civilians went out to take pictures. I saw quite a few more the summer I
was there.

I'm kind of glad they are extinct in Wisconsin, from a vegetable gardening
point of view, only. Woodchucks are bad enough.

Noel
