Well, now you have me interested. For a buck, I'll try anything.
For other really cheap gardeners, I learned a lesson. I ran out of slug
bait, as did every store in Bradford County, in early June. I prefer the
chemical form as opposed to the Sluggo type, mainly because I just hate
spending the kind of money they ask for a one percent active ingredient of
iron phosphate, which sells for something like fifty bucks a ton. But when
our local KMart finally got some slug bait in, and it was the Sluggo kind, I
bought three one pouond jars at nine bucks eacg. It hurt, but my dahlias
were suffering and I had temperance slugs. A couple of days later we went to
the Big City where they have a WalMart, and they had the same one percent
product, four pounds for the same price. So for those who have given up on
beer saucers and night stalking, go WalMart, not KMart.
