I have an entirely different problem with trials. Since I garden in
Southern California and the Central Coast area, I find that trials usually
arrive at a completely out of season time. I get trials of calendula in March,
when planting time here is August; I get pansy trials in the spring, when
planting time here is early fall. Same for spring planting--often the
trials come far too late for a reasonable trial.
It's one of the problems we have in this climate. But I wouldn't change for
all the trials in the world.
