    Ok, I just got a gripe off-list for my comment on the spider mite
thread. I might as well say this to the whole list:
    Sorry if you don't like my comment, but I have to do that once in a
while or the list drifts off-topic.  I've tried to be as easygoing as
possible on the list, but if I didn't say ANYTHING, the GWL would soon be
just another gardening list.  There are a lot of those out there, but only
ONE Garden WRITERS List.
    It bugged the heck out of me in the beginning when someone griped after
I
stopped a thread, but at the same time, I get way more letters thanking me
for the professionalism of the list. Between the two, I'd rather see the
list keep it's quality. 
    If you want a garden list to join, try the Organic Gardening list - send
a blank message to <LISTSERV@LSV.UKY.EDU> with Subscribe OGL in the subject.
