Here is a glib bur workable response to spider mites.  On a day when the temp 
is above 40 and below 50 degrees.  Spray the plants with water and put them 
outside.  An old NY gardener taught this to me years ago, it works.  Just 
remember to bring the plants in.  Don't try it with ferns or orchids.
