Sheri, usually Windows to Mac is not a problem because most of the recent
Macs can read Windows files either directly, with a translator like MacLink,
or in extreme cases with a PC simulator like SoftPC. I don't think you
will have to do anything at your end, but your Mac-user colleague will
handle the translation. MacLink is downloadable from the web and can be
located by doing a search.
Of course, it does not work going the other way. PC software developers for
the most part figure they can ignore the Macs, or (paranoid interpretation)
have deliberately engineered incompatability to further reduce Mac market
share!
So the problem is going to come when your Mac user sends you something,
unless he or she translates it first into a Windows-compatible format. The
easiest thing, which doesn't require any additional software, is to use Rich
Text Format (rtf) which preserves almost all of the formatting between
platforms.
