I had a fleeting glimpse of Saxon Holt's Grasses book yesterday at the big flower and garden show, Canada Blooms, here in Toronto, and it looked terrific. I say fleeting because it was flying out of the booth and I was busy signing copies of my own book. When I went back later to get a copy, they were sold out. So bravo, Saxon! I now have it on order and look forward to a closer look.

Just as an add to the nominative determinism: another English garden writer is Pippa Greenwood, and don't forget Rosemary Verey. I met a horticultural therapist named Eden - and I'd make a case for Ann Lovejoy, too.
Finally, if this can be inherited, my grandmother's maiden name was Flowers.
