Richters Herbs first introduced their Pot Maker several years ago. We
have used it in our nursery with great success. It consists of a
thick wooden dowel and 'seat'. A strip of newspaper is wrapped around
the dowel, and folded to cover the end, then this is pressed into the
seat. It compresses the paper into a slightly unstable pot shape that
is probably equivalent to a 3" pot. Of course, these are
biodegradable. Great conversation pieces and re-cyclers. Kinda labour
intensive for large operations though.
