Re: internet effect on magazines
Sally, the daylily journal is sent to every member of the American
Hemerocallis Society, this membership remains constant around the 11,000
member mark.
Most interesting is that many who joined in the past did so because of the
journal. Now many join because one must be a member of the AHS to join the
listserve group. There are 1,400 members of the listserve. By the way Lon,
the moderators of the daylily list have a tough job too. They limit the
group to 50 messages a day and each individual can only post once in a day.
People who flame others are removed immediately. It's a fabulous list to
belong to, very well behaved and lots of information. We stray off the topic
of daylilies contstantly but it's always gardening related. Organics has
been quite hot lately.

RVP Region 4 of the American Hemerocallis Society (I hate to admit to this
because then everybody classifies me as the "daylily lady" or worse yet, the
local newspaper called me the doyenne of daylilies. At 42 years old I'd
rather be the daylily diva :-)
