Which is, of course, what I said the other day about greater need for niche 
magazines. 

The basic problem with them is that they don't work most of the time for 
large publishers (circulations are too small), but the people who do start 
them often have expertise in the subject matter, but not in magazine 
publishing.

I think, for instance, of "Mostly Garlic," which should have made it, but 
didn't, for that very reason.
