Yes and no.  Like you, Nancy, my income from the garden writing field has
dwindled in the last 18 months.  I now derive about half of it from mass
market magazines, food magazines and speaking.  BTW, there are plenty pros
who support themselves writing who do not live in New York City.

But....I see opportunities in garden-food, garden-decorating, garden-travel
crossover writing every day.  I think we have to flexible.
