Thanks Melanie for sharing your experiences and wisdom with the GWL
listserv.  That is what we are about.  Now I don't have to nag anyone this
month to share! :-)

In return for your kind gesture, how about we share with you how to get paid
for lectures?  For starters, register with the GWA lecture bureau on the
www.gwaa.org website.  I assume you are a member, Melanie.  If not, it's
well worth the membership fee to be registered.  Starting in September,
organizers of garden shows across the country begin looking over the
register to find speakers of interest.  These shows pay all your expenses
and a nice stipend, too.  I get about half of  my engagements from the
speaker's bureau.

Okay, GWL people, it's your turn to tell Melanie how to make actual money
doing her thing.
