Re: Sudden Oak death


To follow up on Saxon's excellent comments is this important point - this is the first SOUTHERN California nursery to have SOD. Keep in mind that California is one LONG state and we Southern Californian's have become a bit complacent in the fact that SOD has been found many hundreds of miles north of us but has not appeared in our area. Now, the situation is clearly changing and this is a tremendous threat to the HUGE horticultural industry in Southern California.

Personally and professionally, I do find it very very disturbing. I will be emailing my Monrovia contacts to inquire about teh extent of the problem
