GWA friends,
I have written a brief article with photos telling
how a simple support can be made for placing netting over fruit trees to protect
cherries from birds and larger fruit from squirrels later in the season.
If you would like to have this article with digital photos, I'll be happy to
send it to you upon request. You're free to use it however you
wish.
I'm in the process of testing the same support
system for shading fruit trees during the blossoming period, hoping to delay
blossoms and decrease frost damage. Will have word on this in May or
June.
