Re: Roundup research on toxicity

Roundup is a formulated product.

In scientific circles there is a tendency to look at Roundup as X% glyphosate and do experiments on that. But pesticide formulators have worked hard to find solvents and adjuvants (inerts) that are cheap and make the product work better. Some of the solvents may be low quality stuff from other processes that contain other toxins. The "inerts" are a trade secret, and so, difficult to pin down.  The epidemilogical evidence of carcinogenicity of Roundup has been greater than expected from the active ingredient.

I remember reports from 8 years ago that people who used Roundup had a higher risk of non-hodgkins lymphoma. People have died so that Monsanto stockholders can make a good return on investment (ROI). Monsanto execs work hard to cover this up, and create smoke screens to confuse the issue. Look closer and weep.

And there are negative effects on the environment.

With the healthy schools act, school grounds keepers are learning to use mulch, heat, or a mix of citric acid/acetic acid (lemon juice/vinegar) to control weeds. It takes a bit more labor, but is much lower risk. At least we are taking steps to protect our next generation.

The above sentence concerns me and puts into question the acuracy of the material in this 'report'.  Roundup is a trade name for gyphosphate.  In fact it's a registered trade mark.  How then can the effects of Roundup be greater than that of glyphosphate since they are one in the same?
