Copywrite question

Six years ago I wrote a Q & A column for a website at www.longislandgardening.com

Besides the column I also wrote several articles which appeared on the site (payment was received for the articles).

Today I came across an old notebook in which I wrote out some trial articles for when I interviewed with the company. My memory tells me that only one was used although it was changed. Unfortunately I'm not sure which one was the one featured on the website.

Visiting the site I can see that it hasn't been updated in years, there aren't even any links to read old information. My dilemma is that six years later those articles still hit close to home and in my opinion are "pretty darn good". What kind of copy write issues should I be afraid/aware of?

One article in particular was entitled "Stop that Plant (thugs in the garden)" and it really made me smile. Wish I could get out there and fight some of those thugs today but they are still talking s*** in the forecast.

Thanks for any advice,
Melanie Vassallo
