Re: Touting Our New Book

Congratulations! Sorry, I don't have a venue for touting your book but it sounds really appealing!
 Meanwhile, Holly Hunter Stonehill (my daughter and recently co-author) and I have a new book out (Month by Month Gardening in New England, Cool Springs Press) that is getting very good reviews..it''s the second of our series for New England gardeners.. massive! Would it be appropriate to send this web site a press release..or is there some other way to invite garden writers in NE to ask for a review copy?

Rose Marie Nichols-McGee, Cathy Wilkinson Barash and I contributed to a new
anthology that will hit book stores next week.  It's called "My Mother's
Garden" and is geared for Mother's Day gifts.  The book is a collection of
stories about gardening and family.  The three of us are in good company;
others among the 24 contributors include Barbara Kingsolver, Frances Hodgson
Burnett, Penelope Hobhouse, Jamaica Kincaid, Dominique Browning and Sharon
Lovejoy.

Many of the stories are very personal.  Rose Marie tells how her Greek
mother strongly influenced her gardening passion and how the family nursery
business was started.  Cathy talks about the short 4-1/2 years she had with
her mother and how the delightful woman taught her how to make mud pies and
eat flowers.

If you write a newspaper or online column that will run in the next six
weeks or so, and if you want a review copy, email Meg Leder at Penguin Books
