Any Skype Members???

I followed up on Doug Green's lead about the software Skype which offers
free telephone service via the Internet.  They also have a service for a
fee that connects to real telephones, but for now I am only playing with
the free side which means I have to know someone who has also subscribed
to Skype (they have 2 million so far).  Did any of you on the list
subscribe for the free service?  Let me know offline and we'll talk so I
can test this scheme.  I want it so I can talk to my business partner in
California more often.  To use the service you need a headset with a
microphone that you can connect to your computer; a small detail that
can be a bother.  I happen to have such a set with a USB connector, so I
could sign up with no hassle.  I have a broadband connection to the
Internet.  I do not know if Skype can be used with a telephone
connection.  Nothing related to using computers is easy.
