Melanie -

Listen to your "gut."

I am 58 years old now and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren so far. I
spent the first 10-15 years of my married life building my career while my
kids were growing up without me. I worked in the nursery early and late all
week, every Saturday, some holidays and was on call 24/7/365. Your kids are
only young once. 

I would suggest you tell them you are "already booked but please call
again."
