remaindered books
My published book is from a former career and not about gardening. But, it is still in demand so I have it listed on Amazon dot com where it sells a few copies every year.
My free advice is to take at least one box of books - 50 - from your publisher when offered due to remainder status. They will still sell to shoppers who want them long after the publisher has to move it on from their current list.

Please do not apologize for posting your message to this list about
remaindered books. I just wish I had seen the whole post. Many of
us are authors, and concerned about contract and sales issues. It's
one of the reasons I belong to the list.
Thanks.

My book is being remaindered as well. I got a note from the publisher
offering my first crack at copies (as many as I want, hmmmmm...)...and
the discount is greater than the usual author's discount.

Not so good news to hear your book is being remaindered, but good news that
they told you. My previous post all got started because a writer wasn't
told about her books being remaindered, and they were destroyed. She was,
of course, horrified.
