Re: House & Garden, the American edition---

GWL: I have a general question about the recent demise of the American edition of House & Garden, launched in 1901 and with a stellar history of editors.
Every month I get the British edition of H & G, chock full of art, gardens, interiors, and advertising. The British Isles are about the size of New York State, so how come the Brits continue to publish this magazine for fun and profit and in America it's out of the running. Can somebody please explain, outside of the general issue of the decline and fall of taste in these here United States or,is that, the reason. Regards, Peter
