Doug,
it's good to hear you're trying a natural, non-toxic solution to deal with  
your snow fleas rather than spraying chemicals. However, my experience has been 
 that the ice worms actually seem to be afraid of the fleas, which as you 
know  travel in large menacing packs, eating whatever they like. Fortunately the 
frost  finches, who usually migrate through here between March 31 and April 2, 
will  happily devour both vermin. Nature's cycles are truly a marvel to 
behold.
