Speakers that want more gigs

While we are speaking about speaking...

Here is the Garden writers speaker page, do you who are listed here get many
requests ? http://www.gardenwriters.org/Bureau/SpeakersISearch.html check
out the fees or lack of fees.

I came home from the Kansas City Garden Symposium a few weeks ago with the
most wonderful feeling. The whole time I was there I felt treated like a
celebrity. From the airport pickup to the gift basket in my hotel room, now
that's a first !

My # 2 question for this group is.... How can we get more speaking and
workshop gigs. Are there other good listings sites for garden and landscape
speakers that really bring in requests ?

My # 3 question for this group is...
The two workshops I presented (how to grow a chair) were both filled to
capacity and it got me thinking about going rouge and offering workshops on
my own. Perhaps in association with a garden center or nursery, where
participants could actually make there own chair and have it delivered,
instead of just watching me make one in front of them. Do you think it would
workout ?
