Re: Perennial Mistakes


 
Hesperis is widespread here in PA but I've never considered it a problem.  It 
provides color along roadsides and has given up without much of a struggle  
when I've had to evict it from a bed. I call it poor  man's Phlox. I think if 
one were to launch a campaign to extirpate it,  Pennsylvanians would be 
puzzled. 
 
Last but by no means least is Dames Rockets (Hesperis mertronalis.)   
It's taking over the peat lands that have been left idle from farming
