The joy of garden certainty

The crocus are up, and Madelle wondered why the deer leave them
alone. I said I thought they were pretty high up on the list of
plants deer don't like, and I went on line to confirm that. Multiple
confirmations--crocus are safe from deer.

So ten minutes later I went outside, and saw a deer finishing off the
yellow crocus. She had already cleaned out the lilac ones.

Gardening is satisfying, in that once you learn something, it will
always be true.
