 From what Doug Green sent earlier (and if Doug Green thinks it is a  
good idea that is good enough for me) it would not only be a content  
search benefit but:

brand-new company that will allow us to Network garden blogs together  
using a search-widget for your blog sidebar.   A select group of  
bloggers would all share the same networked search function.  A

appear to your readers and yours to mine.  We’d share readers to float  
all our boats a little higher."

"That alone wouldn’t necessarily attract me but the search engine  
results are optimized for google ads.  My tests with them indicate  
those search ads are slightly better than native google search (CTR  
of .07)  but given I didn’t make much of anything with Google Search  
anyway, the main benefit is in the traffic we share and the  
opportunities we create for ourselves.  I note the company takes half  
of the adsense revenue for the software and maintenance and the  
network admin gets the other half.  In my case, I think it makes sense  
to share this with Network members (as if it wouldn’t ) :-)  although  
I doubt we’re looking at becoming wealthy in the next little while.  I  
think we could find something useful to do with the little we’d make -  
things like Kiva, PAR or whatever the group wanted to do with it."

"So not only do we get more traffic but we get that traffic advertised  
to and make a bit of money from our searches.  I don’t know about you  
but my blog searches have never made me any money so anything is an  
improvement.   Frankly, I see this as step one where we might be able  
to harness our Network gardening traffic to other purposes -  
admittedly vague in my mind until we see how the Network performs  
together."

I am closing the suggestions for names of this thing at midnight  
tonight. I have received some good suggestions and the different names  
will be sent out to the people who have expressed an interest (10 so  
far.) Voting will start tomorrow and close on Thursday...
