Re: Getting a Book Out In A Month
Lorraine,
In the beginning my deadline was ten days, I believe. Had it not been for
the storm that tore our house, barn and property to bits, I would have made
it. It requires writing several thousand words per day. I average 3,500 to
4,000 words per day and that is in a few hours. I write fast when I know
what it is I want to say. If I would work six to eight hours per day writing
I could easily double that number.
Anyway, I have been working on this book for almost a year because of
personal issues. The book has been sitting since December waiting to be
edited. I was offered for it to go as is, but wanted a different pair of
eyes to take a look just in case there were errors. A new editor took over
and managed to edit it in three to four days.
The entire publishing process, I am told, takes about a month. When I say
publishing, I mean whatever happens after it is ready to go such as doing
the cover, printing, binding, etc.
Sheri
