 If Mr. Schmo isn't at least reading what goes out over his signature, he's not being very smart.

    I would find it dishonest though if a blog was  written as coming direct 
from the desk of Joe Schmo, Garden  Center ABC's owner, and found out later it 
was not in fact him, but a staffer or  hired pen. Why risk the embarrassment 
and loss of face, when a  customer eventually ask's Joe to his face about 
something "he wrote" and  Joe has no idea how to respond because he does not 
keep up with his own  ghost-written blog and the posted responses? (See Katie 
Couric et  al.)
