Hello Ms. Susan,

"Blogging for local garden centers" sounds like an interesting prospect for
a possible writing job. It's something that I find intriguing and would be
willing to take a closer look at. My only concern is the economy in my neck
of the woods is really hurting. With the local unemployment rate hovering
around 11 or 12%, I'm not sure nursery centers or greenhouses would have any
spare change for a paid blog. Also, would it need to be hosted on a server?
That's an added cost too. I remember asking someone a while back if they'd
like me to blog about their service (I'm sure it was garden related, but
can't remember the specifics), they weren't interested then. They might be
now, but my guess is the fee(s) you suggested might be a little high.
However, I know very little about the finances of running a nursery and/or
greenhouse, I'm just a lowly garden writer, but always on the lookout for
more writing opportunities, and ones that pay are always a bonus.

Your idea is definitely something I'd like to be more informed about. I
would like to know the steps I'd need to take to see if there's any interest
here with local garden centers. Several know my name and are aware that I
write the weekly gardening column for two local papers.
