Amy, I have a leaf vac by the WORKS. It works as a blower and a vac.  
What's great about it
is you can switch modes by a flip of a large switch. No parts to  
change or loose. I use it to blow
leaves - maple seeds and the like from my car park and driveway that's  
surfaced with 21 AA gravel.
I blow the stuff off to the side and then vacuum it up. Priced at $99  
bucks,  it's a treasure. You may have
seen an infomercial for it on TV and yes that would be me talking it  
up for about 2 minutes. I did get a small
stipend and a free machine, but would not have done the ad if I didn't  
think it was a great machine.
