Re: Recommendations for Garden Shoes and Clippers

I swear by my Keen shoes, which are oxford-type. Several styles are waterproof. You can look at http://www.keenfootwear.com/us/en/

Spring Greetings, Everyone!

As I'm waiting more impatiently each day for spring to arrive in northwest Ct, I realize I need to replace my garden shoes and dying clippers. I have been more than satisfied with Muck Shoes for many years but am wondering if there are better closed shoes that anyone can recommend. I don't like clogs or high boots for a variety of reasons. Suggestions anyone?

The second item I need to replace are cordless clippers. These are the ones that usually come with an interchangeable hedge shear. I use these clippers to quickly deadhead and trim back a variety of plants throughout the growing season. The newer ones are powered with Lithium batteries and are normally sold as "grass shears." I've read the reviews of the newer models and the Gardena brand seems to be the most popular (and expensive) of the current offerings. I'm willing to pay up if the product will hold a charge for more than an hour and will recharge quickly, etc. Again, I'm hoping to get feedback from those of you who will share your experience and opinion of same.

Lastly, can anyone recommend how to get spring to hurry up and get here, PLEASE???

Thanks, as always.
