Re: roof moss

I'm afraid that the baking soda idea comes from the old myth that moss grows only in acidic conditions. In truth moss will grow in alkaline or acidic conditions as long as it has mositure, compact surfaces, and/or shade. But I guess applying baking soda can't  /hurt./

Garden centers sell moss killers that don't hurt other plants, btw.
