Secondly, please include me in whatever is decided as a contribution to honor Doreen. I can't say enough good things about her as a person and garden writer.

  Pete's note this morning about removing Doreen's name from the list brought
  a slightly new challenge to this group.

  Some of you may remember that Doreen founded this list (sometime in the
  dark ages of the computer era)  and she added Lawrence Landon as
  co-administrator.  She also had another list-owner for a while but then
  that person left and I was added as an co-owner.

  This morning, I took the unpleasant step of removing Doreen's name from the
  list. Pete will no longer receive emails.

  Lawrence and I exchanged emails and both of us appreciate this list for
  it's range of helpfullness and quality of information.  It's a simple
  professional alternative to other systems and we'd both like it to continue.

  But

  Having said that - it's really up to this group.

  Two issues then.

  1) Do you want this group to continue?

  if so

  2) We need a volunteer to co-own the site.  It's not terribly difficult -
  Lawrence has the tech stuff under control and all you'd have to do is
  respond to the odd email if I wasn't available.  Having three of us ensures
  there's always somebody available in case of problems.

  So...

  If you want to volunteer to be a list-admin - please contact me off-list.
